The Blue Box Bar is a local drinking establishment in San Antonio that serves up draft beer, cocktails, and on occasion entire picnic tables of crawfish. Black Feather had the pleasure of hosting a crawfish boil on the night of the NCAA Tournament Championship.

As the sun was setting and the propane pot came to a full boil, two large coolers of crayfish were cooked in batches and dumped onto tables on the front patio. Meanwhile, the bar staff got busy shaking up Raven Water cocktails: lemon-yellow whiskey drinks with ginger beer and ice, served in a tall hi ball glass.

The game was a blow out: Villanova was on fire. If there were any Michigan fans in attendance, they seemed preoccupied with cracking open platefuls of tiny crustaceans. All things considered, it was a perfect springtime night in San Antonio.
